Is there a really smooth concrete patch
(I wrote about this earlier, but without much response, perhaps because of a lousy title, so I am trying again)

I need a really smooth concrete leveler/patch to finish the doorway shown below:
    Attachment 27665

    I used this product once
Ace Hardware Ready Mixed Concrete Patch
But it was thick and gritty, and difficult to smooth

    I used this product
DAP Flexible Floor Patch and Leveler for plywood subfloors and concrete
To prepare a subfloor for vinyl, and it smoothed OK, but I am not sure whether it will hold up to daily foot traffic

Is there a product out there thick enough to fill in rough spots and small pits, but that flows enough to feather to the existing floor AND tough enough to walk on?

    Thanks!

What flooring do you want for on top of this patch. The Dap product is great but only for certain flooring materials.

No flooring; it's to remain unfinished. I don't need it to be a perfect, invisible transition. I just want it smooth enough to sweep. And tough enough to walk on.

I could just start trying stuff, but I'd rather not waste the time and money and end up with something worse than I have now.

The dap product should workj fine but they do recommend to use their bonding agent first, read the spcs for Dap.http://www.dap.com/docs/tech/00071028.pdf

    Thanks, Ballenger

Unless I hear from someone soon, I'll give it a try

This stuff: Rockite, For Anchoring Cement and Patching, water based structural anchoring cement compond, for anchoring, bolts, fastenings, fixings

Is very smooth, but it won't match concrete. Not even close. It's very lite Grey. It will self-level.

Not sure Rockite will bond like Dap. Rockite gets its adhesion from expansion which will not come into play. It does work great when its poured into a hole where it can expand and grab to the sides. I'd stay with Dap, its made for floor leveling.

Note it's a mixture, not Rockite by itself.
