I dated a girl for a year. She got pregnant. She was not divorced from her X yet. She had our baby and then moved out of state to go back with her husband. I don't know where they are. I want to see my daughter. Where do I start?

Get a custody agreement and a child support order in place, with that you will have a order of visitation, that you can have the courts enforce

Is your name on the birth certificate? If not, you'll probably have to get a court ordered dna test before you can even start trying to get visitation.

Thanks for your responses. I did do a DNA test and I am on the birth certificate. I can't afford a lawyer and I don't know what state she is in. Her family just hangs up on me when I call. I have googled her name but found tons and the few phone numbers I've called end up no where.

Is there a free legal aid program in your area? If you don't know, try asking at the welfare office and any housing authorities. They may be able to help you figure out what your next step should be.
