If the fresh water intake line has no inline shut off you will be forced to shut the whole house down. The same thing happened to me last year and I had a cracked Rheem hot water heater less than 6 years old.

    KISS

If it's gas, turn it to off. If electric, turn the breaker off.

Turn off the cold water inlet.

Drain the tank using the drain.

Is snow defined as "condensed hot air"? :D

My defination would be; Snow is frozen water mocules that have bumped together and stuck together until so many have come together that they get heavy enough to fall.

    But I like yours better.
