I received a notice from the Court that a lis pendens has been made against me for foreclosure. The court gives me 20 days to respond to them. Is there a form letter to use to respond to the court? I cannot afford an attorney to writew the letter

What is your defense ? Do you have a payment plan that will work this out.
Is there something illegal with the loan ? Have you made payments they have not accounted for ?

I don't mean to be rude, but what do you want to say, well judge I have not paid for 5 months, I owe the money but I think I should get to live here without paying?
