I am a teenager and I think I am ready to have sex with my boyfriend... It will be both our first times... So I was wondering if I should?

How old are you both?

Sex = babies. You shouldn't be having sex until you are emotionally and financially ready to have a baby. No amount of contraceptives can prevent it 100%

Then you have the issue of STD's

A girl I know had sex with her boyfriend at the age if 13, she is now 16 and has a bouncing baby boy, lives with her parents and struggles with depression.

Make sure you think long and hard before you go jumping into bed with your boyfriend.

You should wait.

I agree with the others. You may think you are ready, but have you asked yourself why you think you are? You shouldn't just think you are ready because you like your boyfriend a lot.
There is a lot to think about when making a decision like this.

So what birth control are you on ?
What other methods do you plan on using?

Using at least two methods, and it fails ( babies come even if using 2 methods sometimes) are you and the partner old enough and ready to afford to raise a child

If you have to ask, no. As mentioned, birth control can and does fail. Like Shaz said, sex = babies. So ask yourself if you want a baby and if you are ready for the responsibility of one. And don't let anyone pressure you into having sex. There are plenty of things that a couple can do to enjoy each other's company without engaging in sex.

I'm nt sayn you shouldn't kus I did when I was young, bt do you have condoms? Can you see yourself marrying him? How long have you been together?
