    Sentencing for violation of probation
I'm currently on probation for DUI. This weekend I was pulled over for a tag light being out and received a ticket for driving on a suspended license (was not arrested). My DUI was in a different county then where I received the DSL ticket (however, both in Florida). Other than probation, I had to wear a GAM bracelet for 90 days in leiu of jail time. Is it mandatory for my probation officer to violate me and will I have to do jail time?

It is mandatory that you tell your PO about the ticket. It will be up to the PO to violate you or not. If you don't advise the PO of the ticket right there that is an immediate violation. Why would you drive on a suspended license while on probation?

You certainly must want to spend some time in jail otherwise you would have not done this regardless of what the circumstances were at the time.

You may have more home arrest time (hopefully) added upon you.
