What output connectors does the laptop have? Some PCs have HDMI connectors. If both the TV and the laptop have those, then that is the best. You can also connect using baseband audio and video (Red, White, and Yellow RCA connectors) if they're available. Some TVs and laptops have S-Video connectors. You can use that also.

Most laptops have VGA and S-Video. Some of the newer media oriented machines also support HDMi. Depending on what your TV supports, S-Video is generally the cheapest and easiest. You can buy a Headphone 1/8th" to RCA to supplement it.

If you don't have a way to connect to S-Video, they make all sorts of converters. S-Video, VGA, HDMi, RCA, etc. I used to use a S-Video to RCA and the headphone to RCA to connect my laptop to my TV.

    Good Luck.
