    The Promise that Christmas Brought
I thought it would be enjoyable to share our love for Christmas with each other. What has Christmas brought to your home, and life?

This would be what Christmas brings in meaning of Love, Joy and Glory held in the Birth of Christ Jesus to me. Anyone wanting to share their love in this gift , please feel free to share along with us all.

    Jeremiah 33
Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will perform that good thing which I have promised unto the house of Israel and to the house of Judah. In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of Righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.

This promise was born, God's begotten Son, Christ Jesus. The Branch of Righteousness that did grow through the generations written and registered.

Matthew 1:1 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.

As it is written, the birth of Christ Jesus was in this manner. When as his mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they lived as husband and wife together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. (Matthew 1:18) Then Joseph who was to be Mary's husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, knowingly felt it best to pray for Mary's release from the betrothed marriage, and thought to request this secretly and privately. (Matthew 1:19) As Joseph thought on these things, an angel of the Lord appeared before him in a dream. The angel said, " Joseph, you are the son of David, fear not to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost." (Matthew 1:20) "And she shall give birth to a son, and you will call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. " (Matthew 1:21)

Matthew 1:24-25 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.

This is the birth of Christ Jesus, and it is the story of Christmas. The birth of Christianity, and the birth of God's Promise. Please continue this story with more that is written, and more of what you hold within your heart about the Birth of Christ.

Matthew 1:22-23 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

You are very welcome. My grandchildren tell the gospel of the Virgin Mary in Bethlehem where Christ is laid in the manger. (Luke 2) But it is always my part as the elder GrandMother, to tell the gospel of God's promise gifted through 14 generations.GrandDad's part is the news written in Matthew 2, and the three wise men that follow the star. The bright morning Star that even today we follow if we are wise. (Revel 22:16)

Numbers 24:17 I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth.

In my case the love of Christmas and the Christ Child began when I was quite young.
First of all it was from my mother who told me the Christmas story and the next was when I was part of the secular school's Christmas play and I was a shepherd in the cretch scene.
YES, way back then public schools did that as part of a Christmas play for the community.
I doubt that we will ever see that widely happen again.
    Peace and kindness,

Fred, How fortanite you were as a child. What most children learn today is the story known as the Night Before Christmas. The Hallmark store this year sold out of their newest idea. A recordable storybook of the Night Before Christmas.

Behold the Christ Child, the work of our Father to complete the victory.
Behold the Christ Child, that was so desperately needed and yet so
Poorly received, until it was revealed to us.
Behold the Christ Child, God in the flesh, gives Hope, Peace, and
    Eternal Salvation.
Behold the Christ Child, the most precious gift of all, His Love For Us.
And Ever Lasting Life. Our Victory Has Been Won.

My prayer for you "Let Christs' Love Be Borned in You, The Most
    Precious Gift of All".

"The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upom
you, and give you peace". Num. 6:24-26

    Love, In His Name,

    Merry Christmas Maggie

2 Thessalonians 1:11 Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:
1:12 That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
