What is the distance between two pipes for geo thermal horizontal ground loop system.One company tells me 12" apart is a OK but another company tells me that Code asks for pipes to be 24" apart.This installation is to be done in Ontario,Canada.

Contact the manufacturer of the pipe to be sure. Take NO ones word for it get it in writing. Different soil composition and compression, along with flow calculations may be necessary to find the optimum distance.
