Melanin inhibiting properties, good or bad
I just purchased a product which says it is all natural and inhibits the production of melanin as well as dispersing existing melanin. Im worried is inhibitting melanin a bad thing. Can it have adverse effects on the skin after discontinuing the use of such products?

You stop using you just get dark again... lots of products block melanin production, and most of them hve not proven at least in my experience to have caused any problems... besides most OTC creams and such esp in the west are not super strong anyway so I don't think you have anything to worry about... in fact if you are lightening, then you want a product that inhibits melanin production...

I've been using Glutathione soap, and as far as I know glutathione acts as a tyrosinase inhibitor. Tyrosinase is an enzyme that catalyzes production of melanin . So far I'm happy with the results and I haven't encountered any issues at all.
