    Sewer pump problems
    Hi...
Just in the past week my sewer pump in the outside liquid holding tank started blowing the 20amp breaker in the house... I reset it a few time thinking maby jusy a glitch but keeps blowing it... I switched brakers... same problem... plugged pump into different outlet same problem... pulled pump and insepected wires seem fime just broken ground wire I fixed... testing by filling tank up to alarm level and runs fine... hour or two later just blows braker... any ideas??

All electric motors eventually die and an ejector or sewer pump is not exception. You could pull it and have it tested but if its more than 10 years old you may save money by replacing it with a new, more efficient pump motor.

Sounds like the motor windings are heating up and tripping the breaker. Like Bob sez, "Time to re[place the pump." Good luck, Tom

Agree with Tom and Bob. It is cheaper - and safer - to replace it with new pump.
