I have an outside light with a light sensor that is not working...
There are 3 wires coming out of the side of the light socket to it red/blk/wht
I have cut them and removed the sensor
I thought I could tape off these 3 wires...
Do I need to ground the black and tape the white and red together or what?
I have tried different way and keep flipping the breaker

Put a wire-nut over the end of each of the wires. Don't tie any of them together. Tuck the wires in the box and put a cover on it.
