    Hot water in toilet
I have a two story house and in the upstairs bathroom we get hot water in the toilet and the faucets in the sink are backwards. Hot comes out of the cold etc. Is there a simple fix or do I need to call out an expert?

The sink is an easy fix. Shut the water off and reverse the hoses that attach to the faucet (found under the sink). The toilet is more complicated because you have to tap into the cold line. You want this fixed because you are using gas/electric to heat that water!

Has the faucet always been backwards or has this just started? Any plumbing work done lately?
What are the brand name of your faucets? Some faucets you don't have to reverse the supplies. Let's work on the faucet first because fixing it may just fix the toilet.
    Cheers Tom

Good questions Tom, we need to hear the answers because it surely will make a difference in where we go with the fix.
