How do you test for a mass air flow sensor on a 1988 buick skylark
My buick will start and drive fine but then it will die sometimes right in the middle of driving, even at high speeds. Other times it will not start at all(even though it is trying) and will leave me stranded. However, when I try to start it up the next day, it always starts. I did a tune-up on it and changed the fuel filter, but this still happens. Someone told me it could be the MAF. Is there a way to test the mass air flow sensor without taking it off the car? Is there anything else I can do to figure out what is causing the problem? THANKS!!

The MAF Sensor is not causing the problem. Instead, replace the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil packs and the problem will be solved. Easy job. Apply dielectric grease to coil pack terminals.
