Theft by taking 2 years probation violation
I WAS GIVING 2 YEARS PROBATION AND HAD TO PAY A $4,000.00 RESTITUTION FOR THEFT BY TAKING, A FELONY, PHONE HARRESSMENT A MISDEMEANOR. I REPORTED BUT I GOT A VIOLATION WHEN I COULD NOT PAY ALL OF THE FINE.It has now been 5years and I am going to turn myself in next month with $1,500.00 for my fine. Do anyone know how much time I may have to do?

    Hello bobo:

No, but they can make you serve the entire underlying sentence. After running for 5 years, they just might do that.

Check your sentencing paperwork. The penalties should be clearly spelled out there. You were given probation in lieu of jail time. The amount of jail time will be clearly spelled out as will the jail time for violating probation. These are guidelines that the Judge uses when you violate your probation.
