    Saving items in Vista
I am new to Vista and am having trouble saving messages, attachments, in the four options they show:

    1. webachive, single file (*.mht)
    2. webpage, complete (*.htm;*.html)
    3. webpage, HTML only (*.htm;*.html)
    4. Text File (*.txt)

In XP it was very simple but in Vista I find I cannot save anything except text no matter where I want to save it.
Obviously, I am doing something wrong and simply do not have any idea what I am doing.
If it is text, I can save it to Text File but then I have to clean it up and remove all the excess info it puts there.

Can you help me to understand this better?

What are you trying to save?

These will be save in a format that after saved, when you open them, they will be opened in web browser - but if you open them in textpad or other application, all the uneeded info you see will be there as it is for web page viewing

    Txt is txt

    Attachments with videos.
    Web pages.
With XP I had no problem saving anything to any format, cd, floppy, pocket, flash drive.
Now, I find I cannot do that, why?
What are the functioins of the four formats?

If I higlight mntext and save to Text File, I don't just get what I highlighted but othger jibberish that means nothing to me and that I must clean up.
I am disillusioned with Vista, XP seemed so much simpler.
Where is "spell correct" in Vista?
    Sheeesh.
    Thanks.

For word, IE, Firefox, which spell check referring to?

Do you have a link avail. With what you may be trying to save, may give better idea of what to look at or how to do what you may be looking for.
