Very complicated. Married 14 yrs. Wife came to marriage w home, car, boat, perfect credit, all given freely to husb. In realestate, he proceeded to make tons of money. Ignores her, no sex, daily verbal, emotional, abuse. He bad credit, everything in her name. Put 200,00 into remodel, forced her to re-finance for 250. In her name he lost all in mkt, home foreclosed. Has her start RE company. He broker. His daughter comes w 8 yr old son from gang bang LA. Sees marriage in trouble, Dad nuts, Step mom falling apart. Exploits. Husb. Yells at wife worthless paracite. Wife pushes, throws stuf, daughter calls police wife to jail.Husband removes 60-70,000 silver from home, goes to live with daughter. They use wife's ss# set up online banking, accuse her of theft! Husb can't remember any money details, believes. Not true. He's gone for 4 months, plans to leave country. Leaves wf with sm stock account, skips out on lease w her, supports daughter. Leaves everything. Daughter married to illegan mex, wife gets harassed by him (fm LA) with her husb. Words, via daughter. Wife 62 yr old grandmother. He takes all listings fm her company to another. All community property. Can wife sell his stuff to make ends meet? He's also back in the stock mkt! Through many prayers wf pled to disturbing peace. Unable to sell hearing aids in Nv. Had been doing so in Ore. Unqualified for most everything else. Husb may still be using her co. for?? He calls christian counselor (buying time?) But went 120 days w/o calling her.

Most of this has nothing to do with the question/answer. If the question is can a wife sell the husband's holdings to pay her (wife's) bills, the answer is no. It's fraud.

The wife should file for divorce and let the Court decide ownership of assets as well as support.

If everything is in her name then she has every right to sell it until someone decides to file for divorce and an asset sheet is created. If the things were acquired during the marriage then they aren't really "his" but belong to both parties in a community property state. So long as nothing is filed then sell what she needs to to get a lawyer. Another thing is why does she still have a company and knows nothing about it ? Close it forwith.

OP asked about wife selling "his stuff" so I assumed we weren't talking about joint or her "stuff." But now that I've read it again, I'm not sure. :)

I think this is a pretty complex situation. I would suggest getting a lawyer immediately and following legal advice as to what to do.

Its really hard to tell at this point but the OP kept mentioning things in "her" name and Im just making big leaps.
