Why do you think you have a lien on your house ? As questions go, this is a good one.

A mortgage is essentially a lien on your house - you can't sell it until you've paid the mortgage.

Have you been sued? Do you owe back child support, taxes, etc? What makes you think there is a lien?

A lien is a secured ownership interest. If you have a 1st mortgage and/or a 2nd mortgage and/or a HELOC and your house is the secured collateral, then yes, you have, well, that is, they have a lien on your home. Liens are positional and are paid in the order which they are incurred.

In the US, you go down to the recorder of deed and they will show any liens on the property
