If a Soft Lens Dries Out for a Day or Two, Is It Still Salvageable?
    Hi!

The title is my question. Basically, can they be salvaged if they've been dried out for a short time, like a day or two?

    Thanks!

Nope. If the lens has dried out it's best to toss it or risk some sort of bacterial infection such as GPC. I had that condition and it feels like razor blades in your eyes every time you close the eyelids. Yes, this is an extreme result though. If you wear contacts 24/7 then you must be extremely scrupulous about keeping them clean and moist and stored in proper containers. You can't really chitz when it comes to your eyes.

Thanks for the confirmation on this. I had to learn eye care the hard way. Now I'm stuck wearing glasses forever due to GPC and I did everything right in caring for my contacts!
