Hi! I stumbled across this site as I was job hunting. After passing my 6 courses in spring, I should earn my BS Business Management in May *(fingers crossed!)*. I don't know how I graduated on time between changing my major and having a baby!

When the economy turned, changed my degree from psychology to business (management matched it the best without me losing any credits, plus it was flexible enough to let me take 6 accounting courses).

I have a part time job right now. I guess I would have to put my son in daycare if I get that good paying job that I want... I would PREFER a work at home job, but I want to make ideally $40-60,000 (40,000 is tight but I'll take it, because living off just my income as a single parent).

I have been trying to network myself but cannot find something that is in my field that DOESN'T require experience and absolutely NO work at home jobs. I know I need to network myself but I don't know where to begin :/ help??

Many of my friends and family, whether they have experience or not, use recruiters. You can ask around with the people that are in the business management profession to get ideas about which ones are the best. There are also tons of recruiters on the web.

I know dozens of people with BS degrees who are cooking burgers in Wendy right now. Jobs are tight.

What experience besides the degree do you have to offer them.
And I will even be blunt, sounds bad but if you are a single parent, it will even be harder since management does not work 8 to 5, often they are salary esp at the 40 plus level and may have to work 50 to 60 to even more hours a week with little notice when needed.

Does your college not have a department to assist with placement, do they have job fairs on campus where company recruiters come.

Also where do you live, 40 to 60 is way over the top here in Atlanta for a entry level management but 40 is not out of line in areas like New York where cost of living is a lot greater

Have you tried job services that will allow you to post your qualifications and resume online? Around where I live, there's one that will send out emails to people when a job matching their qualifications becomes available and also allow them to apply for the position online.

Most of the postitions listed through the job service aren't listed in the local papers.
