    Demon in airbrush painting
I painted this shirt with the intention of portraying the battle between good and evil. The skulls represent the damned. The turbulence around Jesus was intended to show adversity, confusion, and chaos in the world. The cross is absent from the painting but the crucifixion is implied by the position of Jesus.

I put the painting away and a couple months later someone took it out and said they could see satan in it. Look at the face. Jesus is looking to his left with sadness and compassion. There is another face equally as visible looking straight at the viewer with his head turned to his right cloaked in darkness.

I did not intend to create this effect. Just thought I would share this with you. What do you think?

This is a good painting! I didn't quite see the face, I thought I did, but maybe I didn't. Is it to the left or right of Jesus' head? It isn't unusual to find things like this in paintings and photos. I remember being younger and having my picture taken with my siblings next to a waterfall. It's strange, but in the waterfall, you can clearly see the outline of an angel. These things are definitely interesting..

Thanks for the response. It's cool that you like the painting.

The evil face is looking down and to his right (perhaps with his eyes shifted straight toward the viewer). He is extremely ugly with a big nose. When you see it, the face takes the place of Jesus' head. So to clarify, the demon head is actually placed on the body of Christ.

Oh yeah, I see it! That's strange. I know that satan is said to be ugly. I've had dreams about him, which you might think is strange, but I have, and he isn't ugly- he actually is very handsome. That's kind of weird... hmm...

I am trying so hard to see what you guys are talking about... I can't though. I do, however, like the painting.

I am a graphic artist and I have seen this type of thing in my work as well.
I have had angels appear in pictures and even seen people who I never intended to be there.
I think it is the method you used to create this with the swirls and such that it is more of an optical illusion than psychic phenomenon. But,then again... who can say for certain ?
    Very well done artwork,very compelling!

Jesus' right jawline becomes the nose of the other face. Jesus' right eye becomes the demon's left eye.

This is totally interesting. I saw it right away after I knew to look for it. It is scary and I do think it may be the devil's way of impeding on Jesus' coat tails. Very interesting and eeery.

The demonic face is looking a little over 3/4 to his right.

The weird thing about this is that it fits into place considering the subject matter of the piece.

    Thank you for your comments.

It's a gorgeous painting, and I don't think the face detracts from it all. It's kind of like the hag/damsel optical illusion picture, people will see what they will at first, and maybe be able to see the other imaging after looking again.
