Can a child sex offender live w/kids that aren't his while on probation?
I am currently in a bad relationship, and I happen to be pregnant with his child. I really want to leave him for this guy that I have known for over 3 years. But he is a child sex offender who is on probation (this all went down about 7 years ago, but it was settled about 2 years ago). It was pretty much a case of a pissed off younger girl and her parents. It wasn't violent (he didn't go to jail, just took a plea bargain) and he has a clean record other than that. I don't want to give up my child to be with him though and I was wondering if it matters that the baby's not his. I have read that once that probationary period is over it will not matter (that's a while from now), but I can't find any information that answers my particular question. We live in Illinois, if that matters.

Purely from a legal standpoint - my feeling is that he CANNOT live with a minor child and is classified as a sex offender. His PO will know.

From a personal standpoint - you are pregnant by one man and asking if you can live him and move in with a convicted sex offender?

    Hello girl:

Certainly, your boyfriend knows what his restrictions are. If HE doesn't, then his probation officer DOES. That's where I'd go to get the information I wanted.
