IP Pilot flame does not ignite with new spark generator
Hello,
I have a Carrier gas Furnace, (intermittent pilot) where this type LH33WZ503 of igniter is recommended:
Carrier LH33WZ503 Spark Ignitor - eBay (item 120503371417 end time Jan-06-10 09:44:05 PST)
eBay
The specs say: 24VAC, 8mA.
Accidentally, I have ordered this one:

Its specs say: Electrical rating: 24/117VAC, 0.1A.
I adjusted the electrode according to specs (at least I think so), but the few sparks in 1 to 2 seconds are not enough to light the pilot gas.
Here my problem: If I call for heat, with the ignitor cable disconnected, The pilot valve opens and I can light that gas manually. Sometimes, with the ignitor sending 5 to 18 seconds sparks, it seems the gas flows nin a different direction, it does not reach the spark, it does not ignite.
What can I do?
My Furnace: Carrier Model 394 GAW, Series A from 1975 (!)
Gas Valve: BDP 646AW
Pilot: BDP Model 733B
Thanks for your help!
