How to weather proof a sliding barn door
I have 20' sliding door on overhead rails which by-passes along another 20' of the side of my barn. I use this part of my barn for a dbl car garage which has concrete floors. I would like to weather proof around the door as much as possible. I'm considering 1/4" x 6" rubber stripping to fold under the bottom of the door to keep cold air and moisture out. I'm looking for any any good or better ideas. Thanks, Ed, from Nashville, TN
P.S. We have a pool table on this side of the barn where it is not climate controlled.

Sliding doors like yours are very difficult to sea simply by the nature of how they operate. The door needs quite a bit of wiggle room to bypass the other door and the trolley rollers at the top usually have a 1" open air gap. Any gaskets you add will help but it will still not be weather proof. They do make a garage door gasket that can also be added along the top and sides that just slides. Garage Door Weatherstrip
