I have a 1991 nissan pathfinder when I stepped on gas I heard a clunk and iwas no longerable to put it in gear. It would just run in nuetral

Hello, is it 2 or 4 wheel drive? Manual or auto? If it is a manual shift, try shutting off the engine and see if it shifts, if it does you most likely have a clutch problem.
