Not only is this sending a horrible message to these children that they are not good enough "as is "but it is dangerous and they should be banned from doing this legally.
It is border line abuse.IMO!

I think someone posted this before. Anyway that's so scary! I feel bad for both the women and the especially the kids.
I don't think tyra uses bleaching products. She probably wouldn't have an espisode deticated to the dangers of bleaching if she did...

Yes I agree, I believe that it is another form of abuse. I remember seeing when that came on and I think it is sick. The woman is screwing her kids up and should be penalyzed because they are far too young and they have no choice, she should only be using sunblock. I could never rub lighteners on my future children, if you think about it, it is very similar to putting relaxer on children's hair regardless of the toxins it contains and traces of it actually penetrates to brain.

Tyra is hypocritical. It is debatable if she has used skin lighteners, possibly so because her tone ranges from lightskin to brown. So maybe after she tans, she may use peels and some form of skin lighteners. I noticed she hasn't spoken about the 2 nose jobs that she has had..

Wow! I didn't realize those children were going to be that young. On most cream with strong active ingredients it clearly states not to be used on children 12 and under and these boys are 4, 6 and 8 :eek: Those boys especially the dark one looks good just the way they are.

The women with the asian/black child in daycare claiming her child is being taken better than the snot nosed darkskinned children. If the daycare providers are not taking care of the of the darkskinned as well as her child she should have removed him from that daycare immediately!

Latisha is soooo pretty, I'm so sorry she felt she had to resort to doing a Clorox facial to try and lightening her skin.

^ yes, isn't hydroquinone allowed OTC only for 12 years and over? On that note, below 12 years a prescription should be required, or the mother should face abuse charges.
if she was applying fair & flawless, I guess it would be okay since they don't contain hydroquinone.

I agree, the fact that she is so against skin bleaching, reinforces the likelihood that she goes for the lighter look. Why, because she has a long track history of antagonizing "BLACK" women of all people, on her show. Besides, her foundation looks too light for her face oftentimes.

I expected that she would have gone makeup-less for this show, of all.

yet there she was as usual, with bleached hair and pale makeup, even for a show on skin bleaching. The irony!

No,tyra is still single. I guess she is like in her mid-30 by now? She is one of the biggest hypocrites, I think that's one of the reason of why it caused so much controversy and she wears blond remy wigs, had 2 nose jobs to narrow down, and her complexion one day is pale, next day brown, and she didn't focus on other nationalities who lighten, tan, or have ethnic plastic surgeries nor did she focus on herself in which she is the most guilty of them all.

But if Oprah had done this show, I believe it would have been less contraversal?

Lol oreo, tyra isn't single & i agree she is a hypocrite did anyone watch that episode "the pregnant bunny" she was beyond low.Some HQ creams are 12 years + not all. i dont  think parents should bleach their children

I totally agree.. I am sick of the guilt that is enforced on black people for doing things that every other race does... and whether it was Oprah or Tyra, I about sick and tired of the long black tirade that the media seems to never cease... and social ills that famous Black people love to become spokes people against... which usually involves exploiting other black people...

I know, to me it is Uncle-Tomism.. lol
And people wonder why others lighten behind closed doors. Because the minute your "exposed", all of the eyes, cameras, and whispers come out.. lol
