    Teenage girls dating older boys
My 16.5 year old teenage daughter is dating a 19 year old guy. Is the 2.5 year age gap too much of a difference? I don't believe it is, however, my husband does. What do we do? I trust my daughter and we have a great relationship and I want to keep it that way. Any advice?

If you trust your daughter then it is not. You should be more worried about helping her learn and showing her how to correct her mistakes than your relationship. If you love her and care for her, you have nothing to worry about, even in not giving her what she wants. You and your husband need to come to a compromise. If you are against each other, then it cannot result in a good way.

My personal opinion: If you allow your daughter to date, then you think she is ready to pick a boyfriend and do it maturely. You also think she can handle everything associated with it. Then you need to respect her decisions. If you don't think she is ready to do that, then don't let her date. You can't guide her actions once you told her to choose freely, you guide her until you think she can choose freely.
