    How to get Epson R280 printer to print black only even though it is a color printer?
    Was wondering why I cannot get my Epson R280 to print black only, as all my colors are empty?

    Epson being greedy. Hp allows it. In fact HP will try to print black from the color cartridges if you remove the black one.

    It does seem silly, doesn't it?
