My baby's mother told me she was taking me for child support, I told her that I wanted to sign my rights off the child she said I can't and she won't let me . The question is can I sign my right off if she says NO
No you can not. The whole signing the rights off thing is more complicated than that anyway.
Why would you want to? Isn't this your child? Why wouldn't you want to help support your own child?
You can't give up your rights. The only way for a parent to voluntarily give up rights to their child is if they place that child for adoption.
For the record, she's right to take you to court for child support. You absolutely have both a legal and moral duty to support your child.
In all likelihood, the courts will not allow you to sign off on your parental rights without another party willing to adopt the child.
Additionally, even if you were to sign off, that doesn't necessarily mean you'd be relieved of having to pay support for the child.
What do you think there is to gain from signing any rights away ? Your still liable for child support. So why not take care of your child and do the right things needed to give him / her the best opportunity to grow into a productive adult ?
