Pressure goes to 60 and drops to 40, and repeat
My presssure goes to 60 and drops to 40 and then goes back to 60 and drops again. My relay and pump are obviously working fine, why would I be constantly losing pressure from my well.?

There's a leak somewhere. Assuming that this is a submerged pump. If so, do this:

    1. Turn off water to the house, then watch the pressure gauge. If the pressure drops from 60 to 40, then you have a leaking checkvalve.

    2. If the system holds pressure with the house turned off, then you have a leak somewhere "upstream" from the pressure tank.

With a bad check/foot valve turning off the pump will drop your pressure to zero. If that's the case replacve the check valve. Good luck, Tom

You are correct about that. It will drop to zero. I was actually referring to his description of the problem, but I can see how that would be confusing to the homeowner.
