Is he neutered would be my first question?
He is at the age where he would be maturing sexually and wanting to mark his territory

Does he urinate in front of you or does he sneak off into other rooms to do so?
If he is sneaking off then I would suggest blocking him off into your living room when you are home (or wherever you spend most of your time) and just take him outside at regular intervals (every hour or so)
That way he can't sneak off and you have control over the potty breaks until he is trained.

What time does this usually happen roughly?
And when do you walk him?

It's best to walk him after his main meal. But not before an hour after he has eaten to reduce the chances of bloat (gastic torsion)
A nice slow walk about an hour after he has eaten should help encourage him to defecate.

My sister has a 6 year old boxer who had the same problem, even after he was neutered. The vet prescribed Prozac. It works, unless they miss a dose.

    Good luck!

I'm surprised that the Vet prescribed Prozac and not the generic antidepressant, fluoxetine. The following is most helpful. The second site is somewhat prejudiced.
