You are really asking for a chemists report on these ingredients being responsible for the red dots in your cream. Sorry but that question is not possible to answer. You shold e mail the company who makes the cream and ask them.

Yeah, try emailing the company. We can give educated guesses, but they 100% know what it is. Just a guess I wouldn't be surprised if it is caused by the "benzyl arbutin", give me a minute and I'll look into these...

I don't know. Have you contacted them yet? Ask if it's coming from the "benzyl arbutin" and why that name scientifically doesn't exist?

I contacted them weeks ago about Benzylarbutin that people says it doesn't exist and why.

They said it is naturally occurring. When I asked for scientific proof, they said they never claimed all their herbal extracts are scientifically proven. Just effective.

I wrote then again yesterday about the red dots and asking for them to clarify the natural source of benzylarbutin's name.

Have not received an reply yet from order@herbalinn dot com

Hmmm... that's strange. The only lightening crème I saw red dots in was the caviar crème from makari, but I was already aware of it being caviar. Maybe if you call them if they don't respond in time. I wonder if the other members here also had red dots in there's?

I am shy about phone but I had asked for a phone number and they replied that they cut their budget and work herbalinn from home with no phone line.

Makari's are like little spheres, Herbalinn's look different, like tinier dots of pigment.

I don't know, that's really strange. Unless they put hot cayenne pepper in it.

    LOL

They replied and said the red dots are from traces of LYCOPENE that occur in the special variety of Artocarpus incisus they use for high [phenyl-resveritrol.

They sound like they are full of bull. Although this is the lycopene which is red http://www.prettytomato.cn/images/tp...ene_powder.jpg

I would have imagined though that their formula should be properly mixed and therefore possibly giving the lotion a pinkesh tinted color since it comes powder form, unless they sprinkled it in after the formula was complete.

Hmm I searched and sure enough Google shows a result where 4 varieties of Artocarpus do have trace amount of Lycopene and a mottle of red and white in the fruit rather than pink.

Is lycopene soluble in a cream base? If it is not, that would account for why it is dots? Never mind, it's not working anyway no matter why the cream is not pink.

It would be good to have it tested by a chemist? That would be interesting.

I'm still looking for a chemist, since I plan to use this for a long while, looking good. I don't know why it doesn't work for you GoldenBoy, you aren't that dark to begin with, give it more time. You might not be noticing the difference neither. Its not strong as the original but it works and its not overpriced like most of the others, why pay lots for a small internet brand?

Well I expected it to make me very fair, as you can see, I'm still brown :(

Sweetcaroline how many shades have you lightened so far?

I agree, Goldenbro your not that brown, your light brown. How many shades are you trying to lighten?

Sweet, you might be right, it's clearing up, around my eyes is suddenly looking nicer! Some college buddies did tell me I look lighter, one told me I need a tan which is ridiculous since I have a dark permatan!

Goldensis, 2 years ago I wanted to get very fair. Now that I have seen these creams (FF) promise a miracle but delivery very little dollar for dollar, Im content to just be evened out, I want a face that is 1 even tone with no darker forehead and no dark indian eye circles! My roomie is halfindian, fair, and doesn't have the eye circles, looks like a totally different race!
So I am jealous but I will be content with just 1 shade lighter allover.
