Gas furnace takes too long to heat up
I'm not sure I have a problem but it seems my gas furnace takes too long to get to the temperature. The room temp. was 55 oF and I set the setpoint temperature to 65 o F. It takes 2 hours to get the room temp. to 57 oF... I stuck my hand to the vent and I can feel a little of warm air but its not exactly warm or hot... not sure what the expectation for temp coming out of the vent ? I checked the breaker and the thermostat and pilot light, they are seems to be OK... This is the first house that I have gas furnace and so I don't know if it is normal for the gas furnace to get up to the temperature?

Much depends upon room size, heat loss per hour of the room, etc. From what you stated the furnace could be to small or it might be firing at to low a rate to increase the room temperature at a reasonable time frame. It might be time for you to have a on site professional look over your situation to come to a conclusion since all we can do here is guess from the information you have supplied.
