    California divorce abandonment
My daughters husband left her with no notice and just got his own apartment. The power and heat was turned off due to none payment (he paided the bill) She was left with a 10 and a 2 year old. He left her no money for food, or even diaper money. He has made no effort to assist in moving the furniture out of the home. Can he still have custody of the 2 year old. Did he forfie community property and custody laws by abandoning her to fend for herself and children?

She needs to consult with an Attorney as quickly as possible to protect herself and the children. No, he didn't forfeit community property. No, he didn't forfeit his rights to the children. He also HAS to support her and the children and that's where the Attorney comes in.

She needs to get child support, spousal support, visitation and custody ordered by the Court.
