Married 4 years, my wife is suffering mental illness. I have three kids living at home with me, she's older has grown children. Money is very tight and she has been declared disabled and is collecting SSI for a bad back. She has lied to me our entire marriage about previous employment and also stated that she was separated from her ex before we got together, however has recently admitted to being married and living under the same roof. She has always claimed to be an RN but never was, she also claimed to have 2 bachelor degrees and an associates, none of which she had. Is it possible to have the marriage annulled based on the fact that she lied about the most basic of information and convinced me to marry her based on lies?

I doubt it. Particularly if the lies and deceipt are because of mental illness, in which case, her actions were not deliberate.

An annulment is not an easy thing to get, but you could check with your local church to see what the requirements are.

I don't know if you are asking about a church annulment or a civil annulment. If you are talking about a civil annulment the "lies" have to be substantial and the lies have to have caused you - at least in part - to marry this person. Inconsequential lies are meaningless. As "Jake" said - if the lies were caused by mental illness or incompetence you don't have grounds for a civil annulment.
