Does a person have to pay child support if they voluntarily terminate their rights?

First, please pay more attention to where you post. Your question was moved to this forum because it is clearly a Family Law issue.

Had you spent more time looking for the appropriate forum you would have found this area and then seen the Sticky notes at the top that deal with this issue or one of thousands of threads that answer this question. I tell you this to help you use this site to your advantage.

If you read the Sticky or browse similar threads you will find you can't give up your rights. Only a court can take away your rights. And they won't do it if it means ending support.

If you have any more specific question after reading more, please feel free to ask.
