What will happen if I go on a vacation while I'm on probation
I have a misdemineor and am on probation but I have paid all of my fee and have finished all of my classes, my PO sent the papers in to the judge for termination of my probation. The problem is that I have a family vacation too Mexico in four days and I'm still not off. I have my passport and I'm just wondering what my options are.

Can I leave and come back without them knowing I left?
Can I try to make a deal with my PO for me to be able to go?
If I go what kind of trouble am I going to get into?
Or should I just miss this trip, which obviously I absolutely don't want to do.

I would also like to add that I have never violated my probation before, I'm on probation for doing business without a proper license. First time offense. I took my classes and paid off a $7.000.00 dollar fine within two months. I've always been honest with my PO if I was leaving the state as well.

You need to go to your probation officer and obtain a travel permit. It should be granted if you are in good standing, as you say.

You should have gotten the PO permission weeks ago, I am not sure in 4 days you can even get permission now.

IF you go and it is caught or someone turns you in, you may even be arrested upon your return and put in jail till there is a hearing, and they may do many things including doing jail for your original sentence

If going to jail is worth the trip??

I would talk to the PO

In my area this cannot be accomplished in four days - why did you wait so long?
