    95 civic distributor replacement
So I want to replace the distributor and, later on, the valve cover gasket set on my 95 civic dx, manual if that matters. Any specific way that this is done? I'm told it isn't hard but I like to get 2nd and 3rd opinions...

Removing the distributor is as easy as 1-2-3:

    1. Disconnect negative battery cable and remove and set aside distributor cap.

    2. Disconnect 2-P and 8-P connectors from the distributor.

    3. Remove 3 distributor mounting bolts (12 mm) and gently remove distributor from cylinder head.

Don't worry about reinstalling the distributor incorrectly. Brilliantly, Honda machined the lugs on the end of the distributor and its mating grooves in the camshaft to be offset, to eliminate the possibility of installing the distributor 180 degrees out of time.

The valve cover gasket is also easy to remove and install. I can't imagine having any problems.
