Hello any chance you would be able to tell us if a 54" sears mower deck would fit under our sears mower 917.250261 (it has a 50" now and the 20 HP kohler) I realise that the 54" is generally under the larger kohler (25 HP I think). there is this 54 " available and we would like to try it but don't know if it will hook up under our present unit or not.. any idea on this thanks

Sure, call Sears ask if they could have a Sears lawnmower tech call you, they are usually out in the field on a route but ask, my humble opinion is that it might but even if it did, you would probably experience lots of issues once you got it on. Why not just buy the 50in deck that's designed for your mower? Four inches does allow you to cut your grass faster but is it worth potential hassles.
