    Outside outlets not working
We recently had our outside Christmas lights plugged in and it rained. Now our front outside plugs, back outside plugs and garage plugs are not working. The breaker was not tripped when I went to check, and even when I reset the GFI breaker the plugs still do not work, there is no "live activity" getting to these plugs. Could this be a burnt wire somewhere, possibly at the outlet where the lights were plugged in? And is something we can fix on our own? This is very frustrating, Any help??

Make sure to reset all gfi outlets that aren't working. Rain don't usually hurt these outlets.usually there one gfi at the first of the circuit and the rest of the outlets get power from it. OK... test to make sure the breaker is OK. Then check the first outlet closest to your breaker panel.

It has been my experience that rain can cause a GFCI to pop and they will not reset until they are sufficuently dry. Shut poweroff at your panel. Open that GFCI receptacle, power back on at the main, now test for power reaching to the GFCI, getting any juice?

Have you tested the outlet itself to be sure there is no power to it ?
And checked your power before and after the GFCI and even the mail breaker to be sure it is resetting
