There are at least two people that wrote a poem called BOOKS:-

    Try this one first:-

    BOOKS

    I run my fingers over
    The covers
    Each one holds a mystery
    Inside is an unfamiliar
    Story unfolding in its pages
    My mind prepares itself
    For far off places
    Famous people
    Unrequited love
    I can pick a topic
    And as if by magic
    There it is before me
Waiting for me to open the cover
    Slowly or quickly
    The choice is mine
    To fill my mind with
    Its message
    Lord, thank you
    For giving me the ability
    To read,
    The curiosity
    To wonder,
    The love of life
    To appreciate,
    The treasures
    Within the pages
    God bless those who
    Take the time to create
    And put down on paper
    Their messages
    Good or bad
    Sweet or sinful
    Because each one of us
    Can choose our page
    And be joyful
    In the newfound
    Message.
    And God bless those who
    Teach others to read.
