Just before I started getting SS checks a few months ago my car broke down, so I got a fairly new used one under my husbands credit, which is excellent (the loan is under his name) I'm finding that I cannot afford to pay the 4 yr loan now. He pays all the house bills and I hate ruining his good credit, but have no choice with the little bit of SS check that I get... Is there any help out there? If I tell the bank to repossess my car, it will hurt his credit standing.

Try to sell it and get as much as you can out of it.
