Why is the light dimmer when going through the receiver
I have a Hampton Bay light/fan wall unit & accompanying receiver unit on the ceiling. I have noticed that the light is very dim when I connect the wiring through the receiver (there is no dimmer slider on the wall unit). With the same light bulbs, when I bypass the receiver, the light is much brighter (Of course using the pull-chain to turn the light on/off). I'm wondering is this an indication of a bad receiver? Will changing the DIP switch setting help? I also noticed that the local Home Depot store does not carry individual receiver units rather the whole kit which I don't want to buy. Where can I buy just the receiver if that's the source of the problem? Thanks.

Try holding down the LIGHT button on the remote.
