I purchases a car 2006 Pontiac, because of my age they charge me a high interest rate I was ask to leave my job, because they wanted to hire a youger man The finance company buried me for latrge amount For the last 2 months I couldnot pay my payments and they called me 2-3 times a day but I never answerwd the phone and on Nov 30 I answered the phone and I told them do what you have to do . They ask me that if I'am give the car up
I used my pay ments as tax The question is can they sue me for the full amont of the contract $20.000

The can sue you for the difference between what you owe them and what they get at auction (or whatever other means they use to sell the car). For example, if you still owe them $15,000 and they seize the car and sell it for $10,000 you will owe them the difference ($5,000) PLUS costs.

This is completely wrong. If you live in BC there is seize or sue legislation. The exception is if the vehicle is used for business.

So that's what OP meant in the title of the thread. An anti-deficiency statute, in other words. Interesting. 2 1/2 years too late, but interesting. ;)
