    Jo!!!
I don't understand what is meant by the seven deadly sins
Can someone please explain what is meant by the seven deadly sins? Why are they called deadly sins when we all die any way?

I love the idea of the seven deadly sins. x)
I'm not Christian so I don't know much about the Godly side of it x)
They are Wrath, Greed, Sloth, Pride, Lust, Envy, and Gluttony.
The Seven Deadly Sins, also known as the Capital Vices or Cardinal Sins, is a classification of the most objectionable vices which has been used since early Christian times to educate and instruct followers concerning (immoral) fallen man's tendency to sin.
They don't call them deadly because you'll die if you do or feel any of them.
I could debate why they're called Deadly Sins forever.

It is merely a name given to some specific groups of sin. Do you have a specific question about it

Yes my question is. Why are they called the deadly sins? (in comparison to any other sin)

It has nothing to do with physcal death, since we all die, but spirutal death. It comes from the idea that some sins can separate us from God if we don't ask and get forgiveness after we commit that specific sin..

They would lead to a spiritual death after one has been redeemed

Looks like there are going be a lot of people who are going to end up spiritually dead then. (If that's the case). Thanks for your answer, I can understand it a bit better now.

Well that is the theme actually in the bible, that few are saved. The idea happens also when Jesus said said he did not know "them' they said did we not call you Lord, did we not do miricles in your name ? So even doing things in the name of the Lord and more is not the same as being forgiven.
