Where to get help for honda accord s litght problem
HI I have a 91 Honda Accord and the "S" light is on and it is shifting strangely. I took it to a shop to have the codes read and there were none. The check engine light has not come on. I have had it in another shop and they say the problem is intermittent. I don't have $$$$$$$$$$$ to spend while the try and figure it out. Can anyone offer any help for me? I am desperate! I am without my car and also worried about the cost while they spend hours trying to figure out what is going on.

Thank you anyone who can offer some insight.

Warm the car to normal operating temperature and change the transmission fluid yourself. It should not cost too much, since the initial fill is 2.6 quarts and the total fill is 6.4 quarts. Honda recommends changing the fluid every 24 months or 30,000 miles, whichever comes first. This is about all the average person can do. If this doesn't help, I'd take the car to Honda or a shop specializing in Hondas for servicing.
