I have been contacted by the federal check recovery place. I had a payday loan in 2002 that I did not pay back.

The man wants 300.00 (50) a month until it is paid off. I gave him my check card number but then was told by my bank they never heard of this place so I stopped the withdrawal.

They also told me that if I do not pay it, I will be a repeat offender and subject to criminal processes.

Does anyone know anything about this place? Is it legal?

There are 1000's of collection agencies, merely ask them for proof of the debt.

Yes it's a legitimate company. Any company can pursue legal action against if you don't pay your bills! Did you think you can rip off lenders and get away with it just because they have money? Did you think you don't have to repay back what's owed? You deserve to have a LIEN or JUDGMENT put on you to teach you about financial responsibility..
