My boyfriend was on probation and went daily to see his probation officer. He left my house the other morning to go see his PO and they arrested him for Manuf/del/int to del or something like that. He's in jail now and this is his 2nd offense with drugs. How long do you think they'll sentence him to or do you think they'll just give him more probation?

He will have to go to a probation violation hearing. More than likely he won't get any more probation if he is convicted of the new charges. No telling how long he'll have to spend in jail/prison.

If probation didn't work the first time, I doubt they'll try it again.

Reading between the lines, it looks like he's been charged with manufacturing drugs with the intent to deliver... That's a LOT more than smoking a joint.

I'd hire a lawyer for him.

Yes, not only will he most likely get sentenced to prison for the crime but will also have his current probation revolked. Depending on amount of drugs, 5 to 10 years would not be uncommon
