How should I start my job?
I know you guys arlready know I'm just a preteen but I really want to be an actoress so badly it has always been my dream. I asked this question because I know that some actors and actoresses start their job at a very young age. It would really be a dream come true if I got to starting now.

Talk to your parents about you wanting to be an actress. Maybe they can talk to an agent, or talent scout. The best thing for you to do is to take acting classes. That, and make good grades. Most actors and actresses have taken lots of classes that pertain to their trade.

Good luck on fullfilling your dreams.

    Hello k:

Cool. It's not hard, and not really expensive to start. You'll need an agent, and you'll need a portfolio of photographs. It wouldn't hurt to get some acting lessons too. You can probably get the pictures done for a couple hundred dollars.. You don't pay the agent until the agent finds work for you.

Then, all you have to do is go out on auditions... LOTS of auditions.

    Hello again, k:

Get on the phone and call up some acting teachers and coaches. Find one you like on the phone, ask how much the classes are and get a schedule. Then, when you present it to your mom again, YOU'VE done all the work.

Make up a skit and sit your family down and perform for them.

Read all the books on acting at your local library.

Talk about acting all the time.

    They'll get the hint.

Find out about community acting, I know here in Atlanta there are dozens of productions. And even in some smaller cities there are normally community groups. Next in school are there drama classes and school plays that you can get involved with
