Skin Bleaching Cream? Which one should I ues for better results?
Hi. I am a medium-light skinned black person(mostly on the light side).

But I wanted to lighten my skin to the complexion of MJ in these photo:

Now like I said, my complexion now is pretty light, but not all that light like in the pics here. And that's the look I want.

Now I did some research and I read that MJ(and his sister LaToya) used a cream called 'Porcelana'.

But It was hard for me to find both the daytime and nighttime porcelana creams in my local stores.

So I bought the 'Palmers Skin Success Eventone Fade Cream'.

I only put it on the places where I know people will see. Like basically from my chest up. Including arms, neck, and face.

Now which cream would you suggest I use? Which one is better and will give me better results?

And is it OK to switch cream brands?

I also heard that taking at least 500mg of Vitamin C will inhibit the production of mealin(spelling) in the skin. Is that true?

    Thanks in advance.

I don't think vitamin c will completely inhibit the production of melanin, but it can help assist with inhibition along w/ a good lightener. I'm taking 1000mg liquid vitamin c, but I am thinking that you can get more results if applied topically.

I never used the palmer's skin success, but I doubt it can give you a lot of lightening, but maybe some of the other members have used it and can give more info on how it lightens.

I very much doubt that porcelana is what the 2 Jackson siblings used and I believe that it would be very unlikely that any info on what they use would be posted on the net. It is probably somone's marketing ploy to get people to try and use it. I have seen this Porcelana product before but never heard anything significant about it.

I have tried Palmers and did not find it that effective in my experience.

Ohhh MJ, why didn't you STOP right there!? So cute!

Neither Porcelana or Palmers will get you that light, those over the counter products are not that strong and have low percentage of hydroquinone.

You need a stronger hq cream like 4% and retin A should help you out. You posted you were already light those two products should do the trick.

Yup, we are basically getting the same idea,
    OMG.

I also have the goal to reach that complexion,

And I am very light, biracial.

So it is almost a 2 or highest 3 shades away.

I am 1 shade away, from how MJ looked in "CAPTAIN EO"

    I normally use

Retin A, and HQ strong one 4%.

Now which ones exactly would you suggest I use for the BEST results?

And in addition to the post above, how should this be applied daily?

Like should I use it twice a day? And how should I put it on? Like should I put the Retin A then the HQ or the HQ then the Retin A?

You have to buy both the Retin A and Hydroquinone,
And I will suggest you buy an exfoliating soap,
    Such as these,
    HOW TO APPLY:
I wash my face with the soap, and shortly after I do apply the Retin A,
Then 20-25 min. later I will apply the Hydroquinone

I think it's the most effective.

scale 1-4, 4 being the strongest
    0.1 - 4, strongest

    0.05 - 3

    0.04 - 2

    0.025 - 1, weakest

I believe if you continue with your regimen of the hq/tret, it can lighten you several shades lighter maybe up to a Caucasian complexion if you continue to use for a long period. But will not depig the skin, you'll have undertones.

Are you guys talking about the smell of the hq? Yeah, mine smells too. I'm kind of use to it now, still burns sometimes

    Also with the question above.

How many times a day do you think I should use 4% HQ and Retin A?

And how long will it take to work?

you only need to use hq 2x a day and retin a 1x a day or everyother day, depending on your sensitivity to them. You can even use hq in the am on the days you use retin-a in the pm
